Plainview, N.Y., February 10, 2015 – Veeco Instruments Inc. （NASDAQ：VECO) announced today that Ermaksan Makine A.S., a leading manufacturing company located in Bursa, Turkey, has ordered a Veeco SPECTOR® Loadlock Ion Beam Deposition (IBD) System with its new Quest™ Optical Monitor System upgrade for added control of their optical coating process.
“Veeco’s SPECTOR Loadlock System is best-in-class technology that enables high-quality laser cutting to speed our operations and lower overall costs,” said Mr. Nizam Muzafferoglu, Optoelectronics Department Manager at Ermaksan. “Adding Veeco’s new Quest Optical Monitor System upgrade to the SPECTOR system also ensures a highly repeatable and productive process allowing us to produce the highest quality laser optics for our laser cutting systems.”
The R&D-100 award-winning SPECTOR platform produces the highest quality optical thin films with improved levels of productivity and throughput. The new Quest Optical Monitor provides up to ten times improvement in layer thickness accuracy compared to previous generations for precise manufacturing control.
