We thank the NAACP of New York for granting us this opportunity and we look forward to continuing this rewarding partnership.”

The recipients were chosen from Long Island, where Veeco’s corporate headquarters are located. Applicants had to be affiliated with the NYS NAACP, June 2021 high school graduates and entering their freshman year of college in 2021.

“The NAACP works tirelessly to ensure that every disadvantaged student and student of color graduates ready for college or a career by ensuring access to great teaching, equitable resources and challenging curriculum,” said Christine Waters, Education Chair, NAACP New York State Conference. “That work is rewarded when we are able to grant a student of color the resources required to help them achieve their goals. We thank Veeco for their contributions, resources and efforts in helping make education a little bit easier for high performing students looking to education themselves in the STEM areas.”
